Marvel Rivals Zombies Mode: Halloween PvE Update

Marvel Rivals is gearing up for something delightfully spooky this Halloween season, and it’s exactly what fans have been hoping for. Later this month, the game launches a Zombies PvE mode inspired by the Marvel Zombies Disney+ series. Five heroes with souped-up powers and unique abilities will take on endless zombie hordes and face off against two major bosses: Zombie Namor and the Dead Queen, Scarlet Witch.

A Mode Born from a Creative Spark

According to Marvel Games executive producer Danny Koo, the idea came together after a conversation with Marvel Animation about their upcoming show. The dev team immediately saw the potential. “It was a natural fit. The dev team saw it,” Koo told Gosu Gamers. Players can jump in as Blade, Magik, Punisher, Thor, or Jeff—each character has been amplified beyond their normal abilities, making them perfectly equipped to handle the apocalyptic chaos.

What Could Come Next?

Koo also hinted that this might be just the beginning for PvE in Marvel Rivals. The team is already gathering community feedback, even before the mode officially launches. Fans have floated ideas like an X-Men versus Sentinels scenario or an Ultron takeover where players fight waves of Ultron bots. “It’s limitless,” Koo said, adding that the studio will explore more PvE content based on what players want to see. With Halloween right around the corner, the Zombies mode is a perfect seasonal draw—but if the reception is strong, Marvel Rivals could become a hub for creative cooperative battles for a long time to come.
