Homestead Updates: New Features & Plans

The designers have outlined several near-term enhancements to Homestead, including message boards, a dedicated chat channel, photo mode, and a sharing system—all rolling out over the next one or two updates. Crop‑stealing is under consideration, and future Homestead content will focus on DIY customization and social interaction.

Season Pacing and AFK Improvements

The current phased season structure was an experimental attempt to fix earlier pacing issues. Moving forward, the team will iterate on existing gameplay and introduce new features rather than frequently changing season rules. Progression refreshes are planned every one or two seasons, and AFK duties will become less grindy: background AFK for Legend Trial and offline AFK are in development. This frees players to enjoy new seasonal modes without excessive grind.

Hero Viability and Second Enhancements

To diversify the meta, designers plan to add new game modes and encounter objectives—such as racing to defeat a fixed‑HP boss instead of maximising damage. Selective second enhancements continue, with more planned for next season. The goal is to make heroes useful in specific contexts without pressuring players to acquire them.

Talent and Accessory Overhauls

Next season, the talent system receives a major update: the prime carrier mechanic will be replaced, and a new out‑of‑combat free progression path will be introduced, encouraging experimentation with builds. A separate accessory system rework is planned for a later season.
