Jasmium Ore Sheol: Location, Gear, and Farming Tips

To craft Duraluminum—essential for items like your first Spice Refinery and the Cutteray Mk5—you need Jasmium Crystal, a late-game mineral found in the perilous Sheol region. Jasmium Ore is refined with Aluminum Ingots at a Medium Ore Refinery, so gathering it is a major milestone. But Sheol is heavily irradiated, and you’ll need proper gear and strategy to survive the harvest.

Where to find Jasmium in Sheol

Jasmium Ore spawns primarily along the southern mid-section of Sheol, especially in the southwestern part of Hagga Basin. Coriolis storms periodically reshuffle the exact positions of resource nodes, but general density markers on your map can guide you to favorable zones. Look for large crystals protruding from yellowish puddles of goo—that’s your Jasmium. Standing in those puddles rapidly elevates your radiation level to three, which becomes dangerous without adequate protection.

Essential gear for your first trip

To mine Jasmium you must have at least an Industrial Cutteray Mk4, the first Aluminum-grade cutteray. For radiation protection, a Radiation Suit Mk4 is the minimum—it costs 20 research points and appears on the Aluminum/Combat tech page. Travel by Ornithopter, approaching from the southwest (7–8 o’clock position), so you can quickly enter and exit irradiated areas. Iodine Pills exist but require Duraluminum to craft, so they likely won’t be available early; the Ornithopter’s speed should suffice to keep your exposure manageable.
