DESCRIPTION:Events for February 2025 – Jamyang London Buddhist CentreAbout Rainbow Sangha Coffee Chats | LGBTQ+ Gathering\nRainbow Sangha Coffee Chats is a dedicated space for LGBTQ+ identified folks who are interested in meditation\, Buddhist study and discussion about LGBTQ+ identity.\nOur in-person gatherings for the Rainbow Sangha are a dedicated space for Queer identified or LGBTQ+ identified people who are studying Buddhism or are practicing Buddhists and are interested in sharing experiences with others as part of our affinity group at Jamyang.\nBuilding off the momentum of our gatherings last year\, this space seeks to affirm and uplift LGBTQ+ members of the Jamyang community. We are creating a place where people can see themselves reflected in the stories of their fellow students and practitioners\, while unpacking the nuances of their lived experience in a conducive and supportive setting.\nWhat can I expect?\nA short silent meditation\, followed by light-hearted conversation on various topics of Buddhist philosophy and practice in the Courtyard Cafe of Jamyang London Buddhist Centre.\nThe Rainbow Sangha coffee chats are for discussion with no agenda\, objectives or themes to discuss the Buddhist teachings and to share ideas and reflections in a fun\, informal and friendly setting.\nIs this for me?\nAll are welcome\, whether experienced students or completely new to Buddhism.\nThis session is specifically for LGBTQ+ identified people. Whether you’ve come to our previous gatherings or are new to the community\, you are welcome to join us!\nHow do I join?\nBook on Eventbrite.\nWe suggest saving your spot ahead of time to help the facilitator to organise the event\, but you’re also welcome to simply drop-in.\nThese meetups take place at the Courtyard Cafe at Jamyang London Buddhist Centre.
