Jamyang London Buddhist Centre
Established in 1978, Jamyang London Buddhist Centre provides a place for the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism in the Mahayana tradition following the lineage of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. We are affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT) under the spiritual direction of Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
Jamyang is the Tibetan name for the Bodhisattva of Wisdom (Manjushri in Sanskrit), which can also be translated as “Gentle Voice.” Our centre welcomes everyone of any faith or none, offering a comprehensive program of meditation, relaxation, study, retreats, and yoga classes.
Our beautiful centre is housed in The Old Courthouse in Kennington, featuring meditation rooms, a bookshop, library, and a peaceful garden. We host teachings by eminent Buddhist masters and offer both Buddhist and secular classes for all levels, from beginner onwards.
