    Tushita Meditation Centre is a renowned Buddhist retreat center located in the forested hills above McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala, India – the seat in exile of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. Founded in 1972 by Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Tushita offers a serene environment for the study and practice of Buddhism from the Tibetan Mahayana tradition.

    The center is best known for its popular 10-day residential Introduction to Buddhism courses, which have introduced countless people from around the world to Buddhist teachings. In addition to these introductory courses, Tushita offers a variety of programs including:

    • Intermediate and advanced courses

    • Group practice retreats (e.g., Nyung Nays, Vajrasattva)

    • Special courses with renowned teachers like Geshe Lhakdor, Geshe Tenzin Zopa, and Geshe Dorji Damdul
